After nine years of marriage, "The Big Bang Theory" star Mayim Bialik and husband Michael Stone are calling it quits.

Bialik filed divorce papers in Los Angeles Superior Court, citing the classic "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split, TMZ reports. The divorce seems somewhat amicable, however, with Bialik requesting joint custody of the couple's two sons.

Not even bankruptcy can save you from your child support obligations. Warren Sapp knows all about that.

The former NFL star exited bankruptcy earlier in the year, but is still struggling to keep up with his child support payments. Sapp has requested that his child support be decreased, but a clause he added to the child support agreement back in 2001 could prevent that from happening, TMZ reports.

On Thanksgiving day, Halle Berry's ex, Gabriel Aubry, really put the "battle" in child custody battle.

Aubry allegedly took a swing at Berry's fiance, actor Olivier Martinez, in front of the former couple's 4-year-old daughter Nahla. The stunt left Aubry with a black eye, bruised ribs, and a restraining order filed against him, TMZ reports.

Life in the fast lane has apparently taken its toll on Danica Patrick's marriage.

On Tuesday, the NASCAR driver announced that she and her husband Paul Hospenthal are divorcing after seven years of marriage, The Washington Post reports.

Depending on whether there was a prenup, Hospenthal could walk away with a chunk of Patrick's winnings and endorsement money.

Kid Cudi's "pursuit of happiness" seems to be getting in the way of his family life.

The rapper has been involved in a child custody battle for more than a year. Cudi's baby mama claimed the rapper shouldn't have custody of their daughter because of his history of drug and alcohol abuse.

Cudi recently settled the matter, granting his ex full custody of the girl, TMZ reports.

Lindsay Lohan may have just gained a half-sister.

According to a DNA test, Lindsay's dad Michael Lohan fathered an illegitimate love child back in 1995 while married to Dina Lohan, TMZ reports. While a guest on "The Trisha Goddard Show," Michael came face to face with his newfound daughter, Ashley Horn, for the first time.

Awkwardness ensued.

Next week families will be getting together to eat a ton of turkey and reflect on all they have to be thankful for. But what happens if you have more than one family?

Visitation schedules and custody arrangements are already a headache. Add holiday planning into the mix, and things can get pretty stressful.

Divorced parents often butt heads about who gets the kids for the Holidays. Fortunately, Georgia has developed a way of avoiding such stalemates.

Yet another NFL player is in hot water over a child support debt.

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown has been ordered to cough up eight-months worth of child support, TMZ reports. Now that Brown has signed a $42-million contract with the Steelers, he shouldn't have any trouble keeping up with his support obligations.

Life isn't as peachy as it appears on TV. For instance, "Modern Family" star Ariel Winter's real life family is apparently much more dysfunctional than her zany TV family, the Dunphys.

Winter, who plays nerdy Alex Dunphy on the ABC comedy, has been removed from her home following allegations of physical and emotional abuse, TMZ reports. The 14-year-old actress has been placed in the guardianship of her older sister Shanelle Workman for the time being.

Divorce can lead to some pretty unfair outcomes. For instance, a stay-at-home mom may lack the skills to support herself once her marriage falls apart. In general, spousal support, aka alimony, is intended to correct these kinds of unfair economic effects.

However, the road to obtaining alimony can be a bit tricky. That's why we created the FindLaw Guide to Spousal Support. The guide is completely free and will help you on your way to obtaining alimony.

Below, we've covered just a few of the areas detailed in the guide.

Gold diggers (real or percived) come in all shapes and sizes. Mexican pop star Paulina Rubio filed for divorce from her husband, Nicolas Vallejo-Najera, back in March. In his response, Vallejo-Najera requested spousal support.

However, the singer isn't having it. Rubio has filed documents asking a judge to deny Vallejo-Najera's request for alimony, TMZ reports. She claims her estranged husband has the skills and education to support himself, but is simply being lazy.

There was an unexpected bright spot in a Paulding County abuse case last week, when Tony Wawrzynski's search for his biological son, Mitch Comer, finally ended after 15 long years, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

According to authorities, 18-year-old Mitch was held captive in a bedroom with little food for at least three years. Mitch's mom and stepfather, Sheila and Paul Comer, have been charged with child cruelty.

Investigators contacted Wawrzynski after they found a discarded letter from him at the Comers' home.

Evelyn Lozada and Chad Johnson were married for a grand total of six weeks before Johnson effectively ended the relationship with a head-butt. The former NFL star was convicted of domestic battery and ordered to stay away from Lozada.

Now Evelyn says she's over it and wants to "move on," according to TMZ. Lozada plans to let the no-contact order against Johnson expire.

But that doesn't mean she's looking to get back together.
